The Lake Windermere and District Rod and Gun Club provides free of charge to all Valley youth ages six to 15 the Children’s Air Rifle Program. The program runs until the end of March at the Invermere Community Hall on Thursday evenings from 7 – 8:30pm. It’s intended to provide firearm safety, handling, and marksmanship. The Master’s National Nordic Ski Championships are being held in Golden from Mar 11th – 17th. There will be four cross-country ski races for skiers age 30 and up held over the six days at Dawn Mountain Nordic Center, adjacent to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort.
