<rss xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" version="2.0"><channel xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/"><title>Corridor News</title><link>http://golden.myezrock.com/News/home.aspx</link><description></description><language>en-us</language><copyright>Copyright 2012, CKXR-FM</copyright><lastBuildDate>Fri, 18 May 2012 12:20:08 GMT</lastBuildDate><generator>http://emmisinteractive.com</generator><item xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/"><title>No flooding in Shuswap</title><description>&lt;p&gt;Residents living in the Shuswap seem to have it easy this year when it comes to flooding.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Even though the recent hot weather in the region is melting snowpack over the past week, rivers and creeks have yet to flood.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But with that being said, Chris Doherty with the Shuswap Emergency Program says residents need to be prepared.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"I always recommend that residents and the people that live here, they know what rivers and creeks act up.&amp;nbsp; I always recommend that they think ahead.&amp;nbsp; If it has happened before, they should do some preparedness now."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Doherty says right now water levels are quite high.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"Rivers and streams have risen but so far it's all within the banks.&amp;nbsp; We don't know of any streams or rivers that are giving us concerns for flooding."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Only two creeks have flooded in the Shuswap so far this year.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Wendy McLeod - Kelowna&lt;/p&gt;</description><link>http://golden.myezrock.com/News/Story.aspx?ID=1705402</link><dc:creator></dc:creator><guid>http://golden.myezrock.com/News/Story.aspx?ID=1705402</guid><pubDate>Thu, 17 May 2012 12:37:00 GMT</pubDate></item><item xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/"><title>Salmon Arm teen in hospital after slipping down Gleneden Falls</title><description>&lt;p&gt;A Salmon Arm teen suffered major injuries after slipping and falling over Gleneden Falls.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The 17 or 18 year old girl was out hiking with a friend on Friday when she lost her footing above the water.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Corporal Sardinha with Salmon Arm RCMP says the girl fell from a trail above the falls. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"We estimated about 60 feet when I was looking up.&amp;nbsp; It's straight down and all rocks.&amp;nbsp; She's lucky she survived the fall, very lucky."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;He was one of the first responders on the scene and says the teen suffered pretty serious injuries to her head and body. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"Along with another office, paramedics, and search and rescue here in Salmon Arm, we put her on a spine board and carried her out and down to the parking lot.&amp;nbsp; She was airlifted by air ambulance to Kamloops."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The girl remains in hospital.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Good news, she's expected to make a full recovery.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;No reports of any injuries.&lt;/p&gt;
